Updated: May 18, 2022

Stress in dogs and cats is common and hence why you may have noticed occasional aggressive behavior. However some signs are too subtle to notice. Therefore, it is important to know how to identify signs of stress in your pet and what you can do to relieve it.

Some examples of stressors:

· weaning period

· rapid growth period

· hormonal change

· reproduction

· post surgeries/ illnesses

· environment change eg moving or boarding

· separation from owners

· boredom

Possible signs of stress:

· Hyperactivity/ stillness

· Panting

· Vocalising

· Drooling

· Over grooming

· Loss of appetite

· Tense muscles

· Flattened ears

· Lowered tails

· Baring of teeth, lunging or biting

· Urination/ defaecation/ expression of anal glands

Apart from incorporating regular exercises and creating a safe space in your home for your pet to retreat and take time to calm down, we highly recommend a regular intake of nucleotide. Studies have found that the requirements of Nucleotides are greater during periods of rapid growth, health challenge, injury and stress.

Nucleotides are the building blocks for the synthesis of bases and doubling of the DNA (cell division). Hence feeding CAHO Nucleotide to your pets is can help to maintain their health status and offers great support during challenging periods. Additionally, it protects the integrity of the gut lining; leading to stronger gut health and better nutrient absorption.

CAHO Nucleotide is available here. You are only a sprinkle away to a healthier pet.
